Orion closes on Edge property

Orion Federal Credit Union spent $1.45 million on a 1.2-acre Edge District property.

The property contains the western half of the old Wonder Bread Bakery. The credit union will renovate it into its new headquarters.

This is another big step in Revitalizing the Edge neighborhood and connecting the Medical District and Downtown.

The renovation of the bakery building is planned to be part of a larger, $73 million project in the district, which is led by Development Services Group (DSG) and Georgia-based Worthington Hyde Partners.
